The Role


Hatton is a large primary special school provision, which welcomes pupils into a safe and secure environment that allows them to learn, grow and achieve their potential. Pupils are valued and respected for who they are by a team of committed, approachable and highly skilled adults. We educate pupils from the ages of 3 – 11 years with autism, social communication difficulties, speech and language needs and complex learning difficulties with associated behaviours. We currently have 26 classes and capacity for 199 children.

ABOUT THE ROLE


We are seeking to appoint a Scale 6 Learning Support Assistant with Responsibility for Cover & Release in a dynamic and forward-thinking special

school. The position would suit a professional, respectful, organised, understanding and dedicated individual with a particular experience in special needs. Candidates will be able to demonstrate the confidence and capacity to plan activities, teach and manage whole classes and have the ability to support the learning of the students in their class.  Building positive relationships with students, parents and teachers forms an essential part of this role.
