We’re looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team at Hatton Special School. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children with complex needs, helping them to thrive in their educational journey. You’ll work closely with a committed team, empowering our pupils to achieve their full potential.
Hatton Special School is a dynamic and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Redbridge. We provide a nurturing environment for children aged 3-11 with a range of needs, including autism, social communication challenges, down syndrome, and other learning difficulties. As we continue to grow and expand, we’re excited to be opening our new Upper School in September, offering even more opportunities for our pupils to excel as they move into the next stage of their education. As a Learning Support Assistant, your role will involve working one-on-one or in small groups with children, helping them engage with learning materials, develop skills, and grow in confidence. This role falls within the scope of the Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers. Under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, we ensure that all post-holders have the necessary level of spoken English to perform their job effectively. The specific standards are outlined in the person specification and will be applied during the recruitment process.
